We would love to read your submission (and hopefully post it)!

We accept submissions in the following categories:

  • articles about what we can learn from the Tales
  • character analyses/discussions/comparisons
  • collections of favorite scenes/characters/ships/etc.
  • basically any post about the Tales of Goldstone Wood
  • Goldstone Wood fanfiction
  • Goldstone Wood fanart

Guidelines for articles and fanfiction:

  • 500-2500 words
  • all quotes from the Tales (and any other books) should include the name of the book and page number(s)
  • double spaced, Times New Roman font, title centered at the top of the first page, article/fiction left-justified
  • no profanity
  • no graphic romance/sex (PG or lower)
  • no graphic violence (PG-13 or lower)
  • you MAY include art to accompany your article or work of fiction if it follows the guidelines for fanart (see below)
  • submit your article or work of fanfiction as a Google Docs link (with the sharing settings turned on) or a Microsoft Word document
  • include a short biography of yourself (with a photo and links to your social media/website if you want to share) in the body of your email (NOT in the document)

Guidelines for fanart:

  • 1-10 images
  • send your images in the best quality available to you
  • PNG or JPG format
  • note which character(s), event(s), and place(s) are depicted in your art, including (if possible/applicable) book title(s) and page number(s)
  • no graphic romance/sex/nudity (PG or lower); modest attire
  • no graphic violence (PG-13 or lower)
  • include a short biography of yourself (with a photo and links to your social media/website if you want to share) in the body of your email

Before submitting your piece, please carefully read/look over it, checking for errors (grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.).

We will read every submission and respond within two weeks. If your piece is accepted, it will be published within a month of its submission.

We reserve the right to refuse any piece that violates our guidelines, is badly edited or formatted, or is very similar to an already-published article.
